The box combines two balanced starter gangs, updated rules, modular terrain and all the essential gaming accessories needed to begin playing. Battle for survival in the underhive Necromunda is a polluted industrial world covered by immense hive cities. Far below their wealthy spires, rival gangs fight for territory, resources and reputation among abandoned factories, collapsing tunnels and toxic ruins. The core set pits the agile Escher Blades of the Matriarch against the heavily built Goliath Forge Smelters. Both gangs feature new plastic miniatures and contrasting visual styles, providing two distinctive forces for introductory battles and narrative campaigns. Escher Blades of the Matriarch The Escher fighters combine speed, precision and striking individual designs. Feathers, pelts, elaborate hairstyles and lightly armoured silhouettes reflect the distinctive character of House Escher. The gang is ideal for collectors who prefer dynamic miniatures and a fast, aggressive visual style. Its members can also be added to a larger House Escher collection. Goliath Forge Smelters The Forge Smelters are hulking industrial warriors clad in heavy plate armour. Their equipment includes brutal weapons and repurposed tools taken from the foundries controlled by House Goliath. Their imposing builds and mechanical details provide a strong contrast with the more agile Escher fighters and make them an excellent painting project for fans of heavily armoured underhive gangs. Updated Necromunda Skirmish rules The included Core Rulebook introduces the current edition of Necromunda Skirmish, with updated rules designed to make battles faster and campaigns easier to manage. The starter guide helps new players assemble their miniatures and begin learning the game, while the included reference sheets keep commonly used information close at hand. Balanced starter rosters allow the two included gangs to begin fighting without requiring players to build their own campaign forces immediately. More advanced gang development and additional factions can be explored through separately available Necromunda publications. Terrain and gaming accessories The double-sided play mat and modular Factoria Pipes create an atmospheric industrial battlefield straight from the box. The terrain can provide cover, block movement routes and help turn every battle into a tactical contest for position. Dedicated dice, templates, cards, markers and a folding range ruler provide the essential accessories required to track fighters, ammunition, injuries and changing battlefield conditions. Why choose this core set? Complete introduction - includes gangs, rules, terrain and gaming accessories in one box. Two new starter gangs - choose agile House Escher fighters or heavily armoured House Goliath warriors. Updated rules - begin playing the latest edition of Necromunda Skirmish.
