Their Holds combine inherited tradition with formidable industry, producing warriors and machines capable of enduring the most hostile environments of the far future. Driven by duty, survival and the pursuit of valuable resources, their Oathbands travel across the galaxy to secure new acquisitions and settle every debt recorded against their people. Each campaign is approached with careful preparation, advanced technology and the unwavering determination of warriors who never forget an oath. BEGIN YOUR OWN KIN OATHBAND This boxed force provides a cohesive foundation for a Leagues of Votann collection. A battle-tested commander leads disciplined soldiers, augmented close-assault specialists and fast-ranging scouts, bringing together several of the faction’s most recognisable battlefield roles. The varied composition makes the set especially attractive to hobbyists who want to experience more than one aspect of the Kin. It combines the solid presence of armoured infantry with aggressive shock troops, mobile reconnaissance elements and an imposing leader capable of becoming the narrative centre of the army. PRAGMATIC WARRIORS OF THE FAR FUTURE The Leagues of Votann possess a distinctive visual identity that blends rugged industrial machinery, compact void armour and highly advanced technology. Their equipment is practical rather than ornamental, yet every plate, rune and mechanical system reflects generations of carefully preserved knowledge. Across the force, reinforced armour and powerful weapons communicate the resilience for which the Kin are renowned. Fast-moving scout vehicles add energy and movement to the collection, while the more heavily built warriors embody the uncompromising determination of an Oathband advancing to claim what the Ancestors have decreed. A VARIED MODELLING AND PAINTING PROJECT The set offers an engaging selection of surfaces, textures and silhouettes for painters. Broad armour panels provide space for the bold colours and geometric markings of a prominent League, while weapons, lenses, machinery and personal equipment allow for carefully selected metallic and energy effects. Hobbyists can present the force as a disciplined army fresh from the Hold or as a battle-worn expedition that has crossed hostile worlds in search of valuable resources. Dust, scratches, heat damage and weathering can help tell the story of a long campaign, while clean edge highlights and luminous technology can emphasise the sophisticated craftsmanship of the Kin. BUILD A FORCE WITH ITS OWN HISTORY A Combat Patrol can become more than the beginning of an army. It can represent an independent prospecting expedition, a force sent to recover an ancient acquisition or a vengeful Oathband determined to settle a long-recorded grudge. The included commander can be modelled as a legendary figure of the Leagues or used to represent a Kâhl of your own creation. This flexibility provides a strong starting point for developing an original Kindred, colour scheme and campaign narrative. WHY CHOOSE COMBAT PATROL: LEAGUES OF VOTANN?
